TrackView Asset Management
TrackView: Asset Manager

TrackView Asset Tracking Management software is designed to make the life of maintenance or service engineers easier where automation systems are concerned. Since the late 70's, control systems have developed into sophisticated automation networks, where all assets are able to "talk" to each other. Systems are designed, whether for factory automation or process control, into complex networks of equipment, communication protocols and technologies.

More and more importance is placed on these critical assets, yet they usually go unchecked as they work day after day , year after year, until disaster. Suddenly, the most important questions are then:
"What was the firmware of the failed analog input card?"
"What OS and Service Packs was installed on the SCADA PC before it crashed?"
"What version of ladder program was the filling line PLC was using?"

The purpose of TrackView is to try and order automation hardware and software into a logical database to allow an Engineer to track these assets.

Features & Benefits

Trackview has several unique features to assist automation engineers get the best from their assets, therefore reducing the TCO.

  • Automatic network scanning of assets with detailed reports
  • Automatic network architecture diagrams showing asset identification
  • Integration with Microsoft Outlook for task planning
  • Import export features to allow non-networked assets to be scanned and added to the site asset database
  • Allows for multi-site databases to be synchronised, usefull for System Integrators
  • Can be used for S95/S88 sites

Release V3.0

Version 3.0 of TrackView will be available later this month after a rigerous Beta testing period. This is a signigicant release of the software which has been designed from the ground up the using Microsoft .NET 2.0 framework. Major enhancements are provided by using the personal edition of Microsoft's new MSSQL database. This means that upscaling the data to an enterprise architecture is seamless allowing thousands of queries per second, enough for the largest of enterpises. Connectors are also available for Oracle, MySQL and ODBC databases.
